Circle
Track Magazines
Circle Track magazines
are specifically edited for American oval track enthusiasts.
They emphasis on NASCAR race coverage with expertise on auto-racing technology and technical information.
Most racing magazines cater to the casual racing fan who watches and/or attends a few Winston Cup shows but shuns the local racing arenas. Circle Track
magazines do some catering to this crowd, which is admittedly a profitable demographic.
The layout of the magazine is logical and fairly standard. Letters are followed by editorials by their staff writers and guest writers that include luminaries from the Cup and Busch circuits. The cover story follows, with a spate of tech articles in tow.
Circle Track magazines
are for the serious racer as they cover tech in much broader detail. Tech articles are numerous, very descriptive, and span the full spectrum from the newest Winston Cup and CART toys to news you can use on your Hobby Stock. The technical articles cover virtually every topic relevant to racing, albeit not all topics are covered in one issue. The writing is at a high-school level yet is not condescending and occasionally goes into the deep end. Often there is a tech theme to each issue, such as exhaust dynamics, suspension, race car construction, etc., and several of the tech articles highlight various areas of the month's topic.
These magazines are for the automobile enthusiast who enjoys cars and driving. With a focus on both import and domestic cars,
Circle Track magazines subject include design, engineering, driving reports, road tests, racing coverage, and detailed technical discussions.
Finally there is a magazine that takes you behind the scenes.
With in-depth interviews, driver profiles, color photos, schedules and standings, each issue of
Circle Track offers racing fans a new perspective on the sport they love. Takes an in-depth look at the
Car racing, and the queens that race. They gives you real names, and real emotions.
They talk about everything from the lipstick, to the loss. The writing is clear and concise. Photography for both entertainment and technical purposes is very good quality and colorful. Speed, safety, and style are all well-covered.
The editorials are simply brilliant. Towards the back is a very useful tech help section where reader's questions are answered by some of the best minds in stock car racing.
The writers themselves are either seasoned reporters or veteran racers.

are in fact priceless to real racers. If you're a racer yourself, you should definitely consider getting a subscription. |
